    We are in search of a Driver Recruiter that will be responsible for managing ongoing pipeline development, recruitment and selection of experienced drivers. This person will gain an in depth understanding of Mohawk's transportation business and collaborate with transportation leaders to ensure our recruiting needs are met.


    This position will develop and lead new strategic recruiting avenues for driver and logistics roles. It recruits qualified candidates for driving positions for all Mohawk Industries as well as coordinates job postings and the hiring process across the continental U.S.


    • Develop new strategic avenues for recruiting driver/logistics positions
      • Proactive approach in developing new recruiting partnerships
      • Attend job fairs for logistics to build existing partnerships and build new recruiting vendors
    • Sort, review and assess received resumes and applications
      • Contact potential candidates
      • Conduct phone screens with internal/external candidates
      • Facilitates face to face interviews with appropriate management
      • Qualifies candidates based on DOT guidelines
      • Review top candidates with hiring manager
    • Coach hiring managers on interview questions and refresh them on legal issues involved with interviewing.
      • Correspond with candidates not slated to be interviewed
      • Coordinate interview schedule with top candidates and hiring manager.
      • Conduct follow up reviews of candidates with hiring manager
      • Coordinate offer letter, background check, DOT physicals, etc.
      • Correspond with top candidates not selected for position.
    • Work with Driver Recruiting Events to determine areas to target for relationships with Mohawk;
      • Ensure recruiting is working with hiring managers to determine future needs of drivers within the company.
    • Work with managers to review skills needed for open positions:
      • Review job descriptions
      • Create job postings and external ad copy
      • Post ads on job boards, online application system and newspapers or other publications and work with our local recruiting center on Branding initiatives.
    • Ensure that all candidates are in applicant/employee tracking system for EEO/AA tracking.
    • Maintain and build relationships with external driver recruiting companies.
    • General administrative duties. Other duties as needed.

    • Bachelor’s Degree in a related field or 3+ years in recruiting or staffing OR 6+ years and the combination of education and experience to successfully accomplish the essential duties of the job.
    • Experience recruiting Class A CDL drivers a plus
    • PHR or SPHR certification preferred or other driver recruiting certification
    • Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Office and the internet. Experience in Lotus Notes a plus.
    • Knowledge of or ability to learn employment laws to include all DOT regulations, and guidelines
    • Excellent communication skills; written, verbal and presentation.
    • Ability to read, write and interpret routine reports and correspondences.
    • Good analytical and organizational skills.
    • Ability to multi-task, follow-up, meet deadlines in a fast-paced work environment.
    • An outward and inward display of professional decorum, tact, and integrity
