    Provides managerial planning support for Customer Service that ensures continual business improvement and end-result satisfaction to Mohawk’s customers. Includes assistance in resolving SOX issues and International Customer Service Management.


    • Planning/Forecasting: Review, monitor and make decisions regarding inventory levels, production planning for key accounts and QS program. Identify issues causing customer disappointment and inventory issues.  Research impact of recommended changes with external areas that may be affected. Coordinate with Sales for plan implementation.


    • Expedites Production Inquiries. Liaison with planning, customer service, manufacturing, sales, and senior management regarding prioritization of critical, high profile orders based on impact to customers and business of prioritizing decisions.  Communicates instructions to all necessary departments for implementation.


    • Backorder Allocation/Inventory Coordination: Allocation of new production.  Address, communicate and offer resolutions for inventory issues.


    • SKU Maintenance Coordination: Central source of communication to planning and customer service.  SKU maintenance to issue quality information to all areas.  Continual communication and coordination with sales and marketing management and product development management.


    • Drops/Special Goods: Coordinate communication of drops to all departments with Lee once product has been identified for drop by manufacturing and determine plan of action to consume inventory before drop date.  Work closely with senior management on decisions affecting inventory movement.


    • International Customer Service: Provide managerial support to International Customer Service unit that provides all aspects of service to Lee’s International customers and sales personnel.


    • SOX: Provide managerial support in resolving all aspects of SOX customer service related issues.


    • Process Improvement: Identify areas for process, policy and procedural changes that allows for quality performance in all areas.  Make decision about changes needed and work with management to assure that changes are implemented.  Work with other departments to research issues and coordinate changes to ensure enhanced service levels in all areas based on decisions made.


    • Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline or an equivalent combination of education preferred.
    • Experience that provides the required skills and knowledge to perform the essential function of the job and a minimum of 5 years of progressively responsible job specific experience in a customer service environment, at least two of which included leadership and/or supervisory roles.
    • Requires an understanding of Mohawk’s business, customers, manufacturing, products and customer service.
    • Requires knowledge of inventory management and general knowledge of how to read carpet specs, yarn codes, and finishing processes.
    • Proficient using a PC and other department specific databases and/or systems
    • Knowledge of Mohawk’s organizational and functional operating structure, products, administrative procedures and policies.
    • Basic knowledge and understanding of HR policies, practices and procedures as it relates to employee relations, hiring, terminations, benefit and compensation plans and administrative guidelines. 
    • Excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills in order to effectively interact with all management levels and internal customers; ability to communicate with others in an antagonistic situation using appropriate interpersonal styles and methods to reduce tension or conflict and maintain professionalism in accordance with corporate standards.
    • Ability and willingness to challenge established practices and draw relevant conclusions; ability to persuade, market and sell new ideas; ability to work in a high-pressure environment and exercise good judgment to resolve problems in the absence of formalized guidelines and procedures.
    • Ability to solve practical problems and deals with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
    • Excellent human resource management skills to effectively lead and direct a diverse work group; to achieve results through team efforts, and the desire and ability to motivate, persuade and direct the activities of others.
