    Responsibilities

    • Gathers information through observation and conferring with team members and management in the involved areas. Evaluates and integrates data from a variety of sources to recommend actions to optimize existing processes and the use of resources. Tracks and analyzes data to assist management maintaining key performance measures while improving on established objectives within the assigned area.  Works directly with department management to insure backorders are prioritized and driven to reasonable levels
    • Uses a proactive approach to identify business problems and opportunities and to recommend actions resulting in cost reductions or performance efficiencies for the Company. Relies on experience to interpret manufacturing needs, to conceptualize process enhancements, and to develop recommendations for consideration by management. Works directly with department management regarding revised orders.  Evaluates current order status and in working with departmental and plant management helps determine root cause for service bottlenecks pertaining to the manufacturing process in order to drive sustainable solutions. Provides written reports or other documentation to give management accurate and timely data to make informed business decisions.  Objective is to drive to zero delays in customer order production.
    • Under guidance from management, facilitates implementation of recommended improvements. Follows progress to achieve the best possible results. Facilitates a team environment and communication among other groups to generate and transfer effective and efficient business processes and initiatives throughout the assigned area.
    • Actively participates in service related meetings at the corporate and plant level
    • Works directly with Planning personnel regarding order fulfillment and assignment
    • Performs other duties as assigned, under limited supervision

    Qualifications

    • Four-year college degree in Business/related field and a minimum of 2 years of progressively responsible job specific work experience in an environment of comparable size and diversity or a minimum of 5 years of experience with AS400 order system with strong knowledge of the planning/order system pertaining to customer orders and plant processes.
    • Maintains current knowledge and demonstrated ability relevant to research of customer orders throughout the manufacturing processes, supply chain management, and financial performance.
    • Knowledge of Mohawk’s organizational and functional operating structure, products, administrative procedures and policies
    • Excellent communication skills, oral, written, presentation and interpersonal to effectively interact with all levels of employees including senior management and internal and external customers.
    • Ability to accept responsibility, analyze problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions with the demonstrated experience in contributing to concept development and facilitating the development and implementation of business oriented projects.
    • Strong computer skills to include Microsoft Office and other internal or department specific hardware and software. (AS400 and Sequel)
    • Effective team member and strong self-starter with analytical skills to interpret, adapt known methods, system procedures, or operating concepts to new situations.
    • Critical thinking, strong time management, complex problem solving and information processing abilities
