    Responsibilities

    Under minimal supervision, responsible for creating seaming diagrams by working with the sales staff and internal departments to develop an overall installation plan that will be most beneficial to the customer as well as most profitable for Mohawk.  This position works with all National Accounts, Strategic Account Managers, Sales Representatives, and RVP’s, The POD team and Customer Service to ensure that the end-user/client is properly serviced according to contractual agreements and/or bid requirements and submitted plans. 

     

     

    This CAD Technician is responsible for creating seaming diagrams by working with the sales staff and internal departments to develop an overall installation plan that will be most beneficial to the customer as well as most profitable for Mohawk

    •  Works with designers and other internal and/or external personnel to develop high quality design documents using Auto CAD
    • Performs drafting operations for the determination of project plans and collects data for those designs.
    • Maintains communication with sales, designers, engineers, field service technicians and/or the customer for any design / engineering issues.  Confers with engineering and design staff to determine design modifications and enters editing information into computer.
    • Creates detailed visuals that give information about dimensions and materials.
    • Other duties as assigned.

    Qualifications

     

    • High School diploma or GED required 
    • Four years of progressively responsible job specific experience or an equivalent combination of education and training that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the job. Must be proficient in use of AutoCAD.
      Intermediate to advanced computer skills using Lotus Notes, AS400, Word, and Excel.
